The Pointe-de-Longueuil redevelopment will play a major role in the revitalization of City of Longueuil’s waterfront area, which is across the St. Lawrence River in Montréal.
Pointe-de-Longueuil offers spectacular views of the St. Lawrence River and Estrie. The site sits adjacent to what will be the city’s downtown core and subway node, making it an exciting development opportunity. The property totals more than 57 acres (23.1 hectares) and is zoned for commercial and residential use (50 per cent of which will be dedicated to green space). The plan will make way for a reinvigorated downtown, a new waterfront and better access for transit and cyclists. Canada Lands is also working with the city to offer a mix of social and affordable housing.
The above illustration is a vision for the site that may be realized by Canada Lands Company in its next steps.
