Pointe de Longueuil offers spectacular views of the St. Lawrence River and Estrie. The site sits adjacent to what will be the city’s downtown core and is in close proximity to the subway, making it an exciting development opportunity.
This development project will play an important role in the revitalization of the City of Longueuil's waterfront area, which is located on the bank of the St. Lawrence River facing Montréal. The development plan, which will support the revitalization of the downtown core, will include a new waterfront area and will facilitate cyclist access to public transportation. As part of a collaboration with Canada Lands Company, the City of Longueuil completed a special planning program for the area in 2019.
A memorandum of understanding was signed for the site in February 2024, alongside several design workshops that helped refine the vision of the Pointe de Longueuil project. The workshops were organized as a collaborative effort alongside municipal teams and development professionals. As a next step, the development agreement is aimed to be concluded in the next few months.
Canada Lands Company seeks to create an innovative development project that meets the highest standards of sustainable development, energy performance and climate resilience. The layout and design of the proposed buildings will incorporate innovative high-performance systems that aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to their lowest possible level.
