Honouring Indigenous Knowledge Through Land-Based Learning

Treaty One Nations is partnering with Winnipeg schools to bring land-based learning to students during the 2025–2026 school year. Activities will take place on the lands south of Taylor Avenue at Naawi-Oodena, offering hands-on experiences grounded in Indigenous knowledge and connection to the land.

Canada Lands is proud to help create space for learning that honours Indigenous traditions and deepens students’ connection to the land.  We look forward to seeing students engage with the land in meaningful ways throughout the school year.
