A Visionary Approach to Parkside Living

With roots planted firmly adjacent to Downsview Park, Downsview Lands is a 109-hectare (270 acre) emerging community that offers a visionary approach to parkside living. Our new development gives residents a unique living experience that is anchored by the Park and proximity to transit and highway infrastructure. Our Downsview Lands is where urban living blends into scenic nature, and the excitement of the city is just a short ride away.

PARKSIDE LIVING AT AN UNPRECEDENTED SCALE

As a self-financed federal Crown corporation, with over 25 years of experience, Canada Lands Company possess the unique expertise needed to realize the full potential of Downsview Lands. Establishing a new standard for living and bringing Canada closer to its housing goals.

A PLACE TO LIVE, PLAY AND WORK

Following 18 months of engagement, the project teams submitted a proposed Framework Plan (“id8 Downsview”) and Official Plan Amendment to the City of Toronto in September 2021. This resulted in City Council adopting the new Secondary Plan in May 2024. Envisioned as an employment district within Downsview Lands, our goal with id8 is to create a hub for economic development, creative industries, research and innovation, and job creation. Within the community, id8 will invite employers and institutions to be a part of a visionary mixed-use community.
