The Montréal Science Centre is located at the Old Port of Montréal. As one of Canada’s most popular science centres, it has the ambitious mission to provide each visitor with fun opportunities to learn how they can use science and technology to build their future.
The centre presents several permanent and temporary interactive exposition as well as a massive IMAX®TELUS theatre with a seven-storey-high screen. The Science Centre hosts some 350 corporate events and weddings annually in elegant halls with breath-taking views of the river and city. It’s no surprise, then, that each year the centre attracts more than 700,000 visitors. Since 2000, more than 10 million visitors have explored the Montréal Science Centre, including more than 2 million young students during school outings.
With the financial support of Canada Lands Company and the Montréal Science Centre Foundation, the Montréal Science Centre is known for its unique, and fun ways to explore science and technology. The centre also has a reputation in Canada and elsewhere for its innovative approach that fosters scientific learning. It exports its know-how and award-winning, Québec-created exhibitions around the world. For example, the Fabrik, Musik and Indigenous Ingenuity exhibitions have been or will be presented across Canada or internationally.
